Summer '09

Though summer hasn’t officially started, I believe I need to remember last summer. It is a must.

Our story begins with the sun. The sun was shining brilliantly, and I was ready to get off the bus. The last time I’d get off that bus during that school year. I was overjoyed that school was taking a break!

That day was followed by many days of video-making, listening to music under the trees, and thinking about the celebrity that I pretty much loved. His name is Taylor Lautner. It is unknown why I liked him so much, he seemed like a nice guy I guess. But I was crazy for him. I wished to meet him. The anklet that currently rests on my ankle was tied on with the wish of meeting him.

Anyway, there were a number of songs that played over the course of the summer, that I’d like to share with you:

  • Bella’s Lullaby by Carter Burwell: I often fell asleep to this song. Technically, it’s a “musical piece”, not a “song”, but it still means a lot. I listened to it when I felt like I was falling in love.
  • Music is My Boyfriend by Skye Sweetnam: This song was played when I was mad at myself. A lot of times I felt very pathetic, so this song was like medicine to help relieve the pain.
  • Sharada by Skye Sweetname: This was my theme song. I wanted to be an individual. It still continues to be a song I really like.
  • Heartbeat by Stereo Skyline: I still listen to this song! It’s really good! But this is the theme song I have for that summer in general.  I think “Uptown, Get Around” will be this summer’s theme song!
  • I’ll Meet You There by Owl City: I had only heard the begining synth part to this song at the time, but the significance of it was that it reminds me of simming, because my sister put it on our Sims 2 game. I always thought it was a Metro Station song, since my sister put a lot of Metro Station on our game. Anyway, I was amazed when I heard the entire thing months later.
  • Collapsed by Aly and AJ: This song came in towards the end of the summer. During the end of the summer, I switched from practically loving a celebrity to practically loving a YouTuber, so references to this song get mixed up in my head.
  • Rock That Body by Black Eyed Peas: This song my sister and I found by watching FierceCo, a YT channel run by two boys. This song was a dance song, and reminds me of how she’d force me to watch FierceCo and The Station with her. Which leads me to the next song…
  • Hello Seattle by Owl City: My sister and I found this song through FierceCo as well. Though she knew about Owl City beforehand, and I did (a little. I didn’t listen to him then), she forced me to listen to the whole thing with her. Later that night, I put it on my Ipod. The significance is obvious. Anyway, I’ve been listening to this ever since August. Me=Owl City fan.
  • Anything but Ordinary by Avril Lavigne: The reason I have so many old songs like this is because I did a lot of remembering then. Anyway, I listened to this song when I was worn out by driving myself crazy. I occasionally listen to it now. I’m cool like that.
  • Tangled Up in Me by Skye Sweetnam: Another old song. I found this by accident, and I listened to this song during September, too! I listened to this when I kept denying stuff. I wish that habit stayed in that time period. : /
  • Things I’ll Never Say by Avril Lavigne: Old song. Not a great song musically, but fantastic lyrics. Guess who I thought of when I listened to it?
  • Shout it by Mitchel Musso: Another theme song for the summer in general. I still listen to it sometimes. It practically sounds like summer. I love it for some reason! <33
  • Stuck on You by Mitchel Musso: “Shout It“‘s twin song. To me at least. I listened to this when I considered my big crush what it was. Still, I was pretty delusional. Still a fantastic song.
  • Caught Up in You by Cassi Thomson: Again, the significance is obvious. I think this is/was a theme song of every Taylor Lautner fan ever. No seriously. I still listen to it sometimes. However, I don’t care about the music video anymore. I just like the song.
  • Heaven (remix) by DJ Sammy: This song was the height of my stupidity. I thought that he had saved me. Before I liked him, I had an awful boyfriend, so I figured he saved me. It’s still a really good song though.
  • Here We Go Again by Demi Lovato: I listened to this song when I felt myself drawn to him again. Yeah, I really got my panties in a knot about this dude. I was really dumb. I listened to this this morning. I still like it. :)

Well, there you go! My summer songs! Keep in mind when reading these stories that I was delusional, silly, and obsessed. Just sayin’ ;)

Summertime

What are your summer plans?

Since this post has a title, it should be obvious that this isn’t an ordinary question of the day. This is a blog post with a question.

So…about summertime. I plan to be writing blog posts all summer. Expect some pretty insane things. I also plan to draw and think about making music. I might post them if you’re lucky. Muahaha.

I want to take the time to describe last summer. How about in a corresponding blog post? Sounds good to me. Look for more soon!

Okay, I’m done! Answer! Please!

WHY?!?!?

Why do I think he’s nearly perfect?

Why do I have hazel eyes instead of brown?

Why is my sister prettier than me?

Why do I have such weird taste in guys?

Why are my friends not close enough to me?

Why am I so quiet and feel inferior?

Why do I love brown eyes so much?

Why can’t I understand things as well as others?

Why am I stuck doing such stupid things?

WHY?

Daily Question <33

Who is your celebrity crush? Why do you think they’re so attractive?

I swear I wasn’t thinking about anyone when I thought this one up. No really. Seriously. What made you think I was?

Even if I was, I wouldn’t tell you. I wouldn’t even give you a sneaky little hint. Not one. *Suspicious eyes*

Anywho, please answer! If you find this post, please follow me and actually give me an answer! It would make my day if someone started to! :)

Missing School...

Yeah, my mom let me stay home today. I needed to clean for my parents anyway. So here’s your question for the day:

What was the most amazing night of your life?

There you go. Last night’s concert was amazing. I had loads of fun, even with my mom there (I’m a kid, so I have to go everywhere with my mommy). I’m happy that I got to see LIGHTS and Adam Young, even from a considerable distance. They performed very well. *PSST!! Matt Thiessen from Relient K performed with Adam there!*

Okay, enough of my silly babble.

Daily Question!

Okay, this is going to be really fast. I have a concert to catch, and I’m really, really excited. So here goes:

What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done at a concert?

yeah, my mind’s been on the concert the entire day. Haha I’m such a loser. xD

The Earsplitting Pain in my Head

Hi there.

If you couldn’t tell by the title, my head hurts like hell at the moment. Ever since the moment I woke up this morning, it has felt like someone is squeezing my brain over and over again, like a grape. I apologize for the grotesque imagery, but that’s how bad my headache is. Anyway, enough of my silly complaining. Let’s get this “question of the day” thing out of the way, so I can get my homework out of the way and try to get some rest.

If you could rule your home country for a week, what would you do?

Okay, I seriously need to stop.

Bye :)

You'd be Freaking Out Too...

I am all alone. Well, except for my dog. He’s company, if “company” includes non-human animals. Well, anyway, I am all alone (except for my dog.)

Kidding. I live with my parents and my sister. It’s illegal for someone my age to live by herself.

Anyway, I’m just truly bored, so I’m going to record some random thoughts. These won’t make any sense to you, and I won’t bother explaining them unless I really feel like it. Just warning you guys beforehand. ;)

Thoughts in the mind of Ms. Quinn:

  • Twitter is awfully boring these days.
  • Wuh-oh…
  • I’m confused…
  • Stupid…the owl is cheesy.
  • RANDOM PICTURES FTW!!!
  • Well, I don’t like him anymore, which means it won’t be as fun. However, I still respect him, which will make it relatively fun.
  • LALALALALAAAAA!!!
  • *freaking out* AUGHHH!!!
  • Oof.
  • Mom’s annoying.
  • Ohh. Sorry, I was just a little suprised, that’s all :)
  • BRAINWASH!!!
  • Smile?
  • The Tip of the Iceberg is a creepy song!
  • Ok, I’m done!

Procrasinating.

Ok, so not much to post today. Just wanted to leave a “question of the day.” There will be none on Thursday, for owlish reasons. Don’t say I didn’t warn you! :P

Anyway, here goes:

“If you could have any three superpowers, what would they be and how would you use them?”

yeah, it’s a pretty typical cookie-cutter question, but I don’t care. TELL ME!!! :)

Bye!

Moist Owlettes

Hi, how are you today? I’m good, thanks for asking. Wait, you didn’t ask? Hm? You were about to ask? Yeah? You think I’m psychic? YEAH!! I’m psychic! That’s why!! (If you didn’t need me pointing out the obvious, that was a joke right there.)

Anyway, this is my first post, if you couldn’t already tell, so I’m going to go out and introduce myself. My name is Quinn, I’m pretty young, and I get bored a lot. I also like to do things like write blog posts when I should be writing a short story for English class. Yay procrastination!

I’m going to a concert soon. Before I tell you who I’m seeing, though, I have a question to ask. What do you call a large settling of nocturnal birds? The correct answer should have been C: “Owl City.” What? It wasn’t a multiple choice question? Oh well, then forget the “C.” However, I will be seeing Owl City in concert, which, ironically, is technically one man unless you count the live band. Not that there’s anything wrong with the live band, they seem like lively people (pun intended. not.). A nice canadian lady named LIGHTS and these guys called Paper Route will be there too. If it weren’t illegal to tape concerts, then I’d post videos. Instead, I’ll put up photos, which are more boring. Though if you have a crush on LIGHTS, a Paper Route guy, or Adam of the Large Settling of Nocturnal Birds, then you’ll be delighted just to see that pretty face of your preference. Just don’t do anything gross with the pictures and tell me, ok? Hahaha.

In the future, expect annual questions I’ll ask you guys. Daily, bi-daily, or otherwise. Stay tuned until after these commercials. Also, I might post some things that I’ve done, like drawings and stuff. Be good, sweet children!

Sincerely, Quinn.

PS: The title is not supposed to be perverted. It is merely a pun of those little damp napkins that come in packages that the waitresses give you when you’ve just eaten ribs or something that gets you messy. God, I’m lame.
